Hi, I’m Carlos Collantes.

I’m an apparel technical designer and educator based in Toronto. My work spans higher education, applied research, pattern development, apparel production, and film and costume.

Teaching

Carlos with his Industrial Power Sewing class. The classroom has sewing and tailoring supplies and equipment on tables, including measuring tape, fabric, and sewing tools.

Pattern drafting, pattern grading, marker making, technical design. With almost 15 years of teaching experience, I’ve worked with students of all ages and backgrounds, shaping a practical, inclusive approach that combines technical precision with real-world industry experience.
