Industry

My professional practice is grounded in the belief that successful garments are built through the integration of creativity, technical knowledge, and craftsmanship. Throughout my career, I have worked across technical design, product development, manufacturing, tailoring, and costume, gaining experience at every stage of the apparel production process.

Technical Design & Product Development

My work in technical design centres on translating creative concepts into production-ready garments. Through my role at George Brown Polytechnic’s Fashion Exchange, I collaborate with designers to develop tech packs and technical illustrations, digital patterns, grading, markers, and production workflows. Combining traditional pattern drafting with digital tools, I enjoy solving the technical challenges that bridge design intent and manufacturable products.

Manufacturing & Production

My background in apparel manufacturing has provided me with experience across every stage of the production process, from industrial sewing and cutting, to quality control, fabric preparation, and finishing. Working with a wide range of machinery, materials, and production environments has given me a practical understanding of how thoughtful design decisions contribute to efficient, high-quality manufacturing.

Tailoring & Fit

Working as a tailor reinforced the importance of garment fit, construction, and attention to detail. By altering everything from tailored suits to casualwear and collaborating closely with clients and sales teams, I have developed a deep appreciation for how precision and craftsmanship can transform both the appearance and performance of a garment.

Costume & Entertainment

My work in the entertainment industry has ranged from building props for music videos and advertising campaigns, to constructing garments for ballet productions, to sewing costumes and providing on-set wardrobe support for television productions as a permittee with IATSE 873. Working in fast-paced creative environments has strengthened my ability to solve technical problems under pressure while collaborating with designers, performers, and production teams to bring characters and stories to life.
